Different lives and different stories from different places. Yet both with a natural curiosity for life and each other. It's through this curiosity that a profound connection emerged alongside all their differences. That happened to them.
During their impressive careers in both the corporate world and professional sports, they found themselves in the same leadership program. Here, a shared dream was born: to make nature the place to inspire and develop personal growth, leadership, and organizations.
NIELS THIJSSEN

With a background in organizational sciences, Niels quickly opted for a life as an entrepreneur and coach in top-level sports. He won national and European titles in both the Netherlands and Belgium, but also faced losses and unachieved finals. For years, status and fear prevailed over Niels, while intuition and wisdom were lost. Now, he's where he wants to be and, with his unique conviction, assists others in unlocking their full potential.

ALEXANDER GERRITSE

With his Czech roots, Alexander spent a lot of time in nature around the family house in the mountains from a young age. After completing his Psychology studies, he traded Amsterdam for a life in Cape Town. And whenever the opportunity arose, he headed into the mountains. With years of experience as a corporate tech professional, he constantly navigates between the wilderness and the business world. It is precisely from this unique position that the lessons of nature have become the foundations for growth, leadership, resilience, and authenticity.

APPROACH

Alexander has a background in Psychology (MSc), and Niels in Organizational Sciences (MSc).
Within the programs of Nature's Playground, they adhere to the guidelines of the International Coach Federation (ICF). Alexander is accredited and successfully completed an ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP), while Niels is ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC). Additionally, Niels enjoys working from the principles of Secure Base Coaching, having received training from the School for Transition.
